Planning commissioners play a crucial role in shaping the future of a community by developing and implementing plans that guide how land is used, what types of development are allowed, and how infrastructure is managed.
We are an active group! We just completed an update to our Town Plan, and have started working on the subsequent and necessary update to our existing Bylaw and Zoning Requirements. Following the recent village district designation for the area centered on Hyde Road/East Shore North and Route 2, we are also working to get the Grand Isle Station neighborhood designated as a village district to provide residents and business owners increased access to community development grant programs.
