Grand Isle Development Review Board is seeking a Part-time Clerk. Approximately 20 hours per week. Administrative and Technical skills needed. The Grand Isle Development Review Board meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Town Municipal Office located at 9 Hyde Road, Grand Isle, VT 05458. These are PUBLIC meetings, requiring adherence to the Open Meeting Law for posting of agendas, minutes, and zoom streaming.
What is the Development Review Board?
A Development Review Board (DRB) in Vermont reviews and approves applications for development. The DRB’s work helps ensure that development is well-planned and sensible, and that it meets the community’s vision.
What does a DRB do?
Reviews applications for site plans, subdivisions, and conditional uses
Reviews applications for variances from zoning and subdivision regulations
Reviews applications for access to landlocked parcels of land
Reviews applications for development in flood plains
Interprets zoning and subdivision regulations
Adjudicates appeals of decisions made by the Zoning Administrator
Conducts public hearings
How is a DRB structured?
The DRB is made up of volunteer residents.
The Selectboard appoints the DRB members, and the DRB members interview and nominate their clerk to the Selectboard.
The DRB’s mission and procedures are defined by state statute, land use regulations, and the DRB’s own Rules of Procedure

Attend a DRB meeting when an agenda item relates to your concern
Address the Board at the Public Comment portion of the meeting
